| First of all, for a quick fix to a tough craving, there are frozen waffles. frozen waffles get heated in the toaster and may even come with blueberries, strawberries or chocolate chips inside them! Toaster waffles are not as high quality as some other kinds of waffles, but they are, never the less still waffles and should be respected as such.
The third type of waffle is the wafer type. wafer type waffles are much dryer, infact they contain about 10 percent less water than belgian or frozen waffles. Wafer type waffles take just as long to make as belgian waffles, they are a little bit sweeter, but will make you want to drink more milk with them because they are so dry. Wafer waffles can be substituted for toast at lunch, or destert at dinner. You can pretty much have wafer waffles any time that you like. |
My personal favorite is the belgian waffle. These are made using a waffle iron, not a curling iron, not a five iron...a waffle iron. Belgian waffles are hot and steamy and sometimes take a long time to make. You can put pretty much any toping on them, or in them, from chocolate chips to ice cream (althoug it might melt if you put it inside the waffles). Pretty much anything goes with belgian waffles, thats what makes them so great! make sure to drop by and leave any waffle making tips or waffle making stories that you have on the corkboard! |
